The Sky TV cameras will probably be focusing a lot of their attention on Andros Townsend this Sunday and if Aston Villa were to do the same, that would probably be good news for Spurs. The winger shone for England in the week but his end product hasn’t been quite so effective for his club side in the Premier League this season.

Any plans to put two on Townsend would play into our hands but sadly, Villains boss Paul Lambert won’t be drawn into the plan.

“I’ve not seen much of the lad but when I have he has played well,” said Lambert.

“If someone plays two good games they are a world beater but Tottenham have an array of players.

Lambert went on to underline the threat of the whole Spurs side.

“You look at their team and they have some good players,” he added.

“He might have been playing well for Tottenham but their squad is huge and is really strong.”

The Scot’s words are predictable ones but if Andros starts positively then tactics may change. Will Villa pay him too much attention in Sunday’s contest?
