Spurs’ forgotten man Heurelho Gomes could finally be on his way out of White Hart Lane with reports that three clubs are interested in taking our third / fourth choice stopper during the close season.
The Brazilian has been at the club since 2008 but has barely featured since Brad Friedel’s arrival in 2011. Two barren years were only punctuated by a loan spell at Hoffenheim last season where the player had a hand in keeping the side in the Bundesliga.
“At the moment I have received interest from three clubs in relation to Heurelho,” said Gomes’ agent Alex Soares.
“In my view he must leave Tottenham this month. There is no sense to keep him at Spurs if he is not playing or not even being given the opportunity to play.
“The club is paying high wages and are not using the player. They have other very good goalkeepers as well.”
Soares went on to urge Spurs to release him without a fee.
“I trust Tottenham will release him for free now as his contract is running out.
“Or, if they want him to stay, they must offer an extension and also give him an opportunity to fight for the No.1 position.”
Heurelho Gomes is 32 now and can surely do a job for someone and it must be in everyone’s interest to get this deal done and bring on a new, third choice from within the ranks.

we are all loyal supporters of our club but here is how i see it i watched as a kid down the lane the john whites the grey ghost slid passed defenders the bone crunching tackles of dave mackay the stealth of danny blanchflour and the goal genius of jimmey greaves and allthe other legends of the lane in the present we have seen the ginola s and gazza s but we must now see its getting harder to compete with the man city and chelski s the arseanal and man utd there wealth and big spending is not acheivable at the lane maybe i day but not yet its was great to see all the great names proudly waltz around the lane but like all the supporters we know without huge cash injection we cannot buy the falco s or hulks so we will keep trying to do it the tottenham way spurs forever

now all have what it takes, if only we can get the guts
and fight of Dave Mackay, Graham Roberts, & Big Chiv,
