Earlier in the season, Danish international Christian Eriksen spoke about his preferred role at Spurs and hinted that he is more comfortable in a central position, directly behind the striker. However, the emergence of Paulinho as a goal threat has seen the player edged over to the left and as the club prepares for the run in, Eriksen has declared he is happy to be used wherever the manager wants him.
“I love playing,” Eriksen said on the club’s official website. “I’m really enjoying playing right now – it doesn’t matter where.
“If I get a chance I try to take it and it doesn’t depend on where I play, it just depends on where the spaces are and where I can get the ball.”
