Sandro and Danny Rose came through unscathed in Monday’s Under 21 tie with Bolton Wanderers and both could now be in line for a recall as Spurs travel to the Ukraine. With Dnipro waiting in Thursday night’s Europa League tie, their returns are well timed but who is Tim Sherwood more likely to pick?

Rose is first choice left back and with Kyle Naughton and Zeki Fryers waiting behind him. It would seem more likely that one of the fringe players will start Thursday’s tie. Meanwhile, Sandro may be set to feature even if he isn’t used right from the start.

With Nabil Bentaleb emerging in the Brazilian’s absence, Sherwood hasn’t any concerns in the midfield right now so any participation in the Dnipro game could be the best way to continue Sandro’s recovery.

  1. Glad they came through unscathed, but Sandro needs nursing back for full potential. We need a new left back such as evra or better someone younger in order to progress.
