Tottenham Hotspur FC Training and Press ConferenceIt will be interesting to see how Spurs head coach Mauricio Pochettino handles team selection for tonight’s game with Burnley as the squad enters 2015 still fighting on four fronts. With busy schedules coming up, the manager will want to take this competition seriously while still looking to rest key players if he can.

At least one decision has been made for him with the news that Nabil Bentaleb has been ruled out while Ryan Mason and Erik Lamela are additional doubts. Neither are likely to be risked so that could mean rare starts tonight for Aaron Lennon and Paulinho.

Elsewhere, will Vorm come in for Lloris – Davies for Rose and will Kyle Walker take a break after returning from injury and featuring extensively over the festive period?

Burnley have their own priorities and may rest key players themslves but they will be a danger at home so how will Pochettino approach this?

  1. If this is ‘Confirmed’ team news as the headline states, why are you using such expressions as “could mean rare starts tonight for Aaron Lennon and Paulinho” or “will Vorm come in for Lloris”. This is mere speculation at best, please think carefully about your headlines next time.

  2. Transfer News: Rabiot won’t be joining and is using Spurs to force his way into PSG team.
Lloris leaving for 25 million… Spurs deny it BUT it stinks of Suarez and Bale, just hope if Levy inserted the dreaded release clause it’s a lot more than 25mill.
    Schneiderlins going nowhere in January.
We will listen to offers for Lennon, Paulinho, Ekotto, Adebayor, Capoue and Bobby Soldado.
Spurs will not spend big this January.

  3. That’s a bit harsh Chazza, it’s not like he’s that canadian faker edminton syd / harryhotspur/ boyhotspur… now HE is a parasite who deserves to be called a bottom feeder… a true parasite of the interweb making a living from gullible spurs fans. How can that canadian twonk claim to have ITK’s? he’s never even been to the Lane, if you want to vent at a Tottenham Blogger, look no further than theboyhotspur (who’s in canada and never been to a game, did I say that already?)
