Tottenham came from behind twice as Mauricio Pochettino’s side earned a point in an entertaining 2-2 draw against Southampton.
Pelle scored twice for the Saints, but the hosts were pegged back by Lamela in the first half and Chadli in the second.
Spurs are now unbeaten in their last six Premier Leauge meetings with Southampton, winning five and drawing one.
Tottenham find themselves in fifth place after that point, one point above Southampton and six points behind fourth placed Manchester City.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the result…
2-2. Could have been worse. On Southampton's turf, so that's an ok performance. Mane should be arrested for impersonating Tom Daley #COYS

Didn't lose.

I'll take that. 2-2. Probably fair. #THFC

FT: 2-2. Entertaining game and a point about right. Good energy from both sides at this stage of the season. #saintsfc #thfc

Good game. Pathetic stuff from Mane, though.

End-to-end, fun for the neutral. Probably a fair result. Southampton were wasteful though.

I'll take that all day.

Fair result tbh. Spurs let themselves down with sloppy errors at the back, but that's no different from any other game since I've been alive

Lucky to come away with a point there really. Decent result considering three or four players didn't show up. Dier arguably our best player.

#thfc Issues at the back remain though. Davies and Fazio were poor. Little strength in depth back there but Dier did very well at right-back

Happy with the draw. Didn't hold much hope beforehand with the squad having seemingly signed off for the season, but they did *just* enough.

A good result at a difficult place to win points, thanks to Saints profligacy.Same problems remain though with possession surrendered far too easily and the sense of an end of season match.Davis (ours) was dreadful others anonamous.Poor Harry isolated with no service. What has happened with Eriksen?Dier possibly our best player.Apart from Pelle’s header I actually thought Fazio had a fair game,I can’t believe the stats apparently had him winning only 4 headers. His most difficult time throughout the game was coping with Mane’s theatrics. If indeed Hugo goes this summer we really do have a number of positions to sort out.
