Having filled the two biggest gaps in the squad already this transfer window, Spurs now look like they’re set on landing an additional attacking midfielder.

Mario Gotze has been linked in recent weeks, but perhaps a more realistic target is Barcelona’s Christian Tello.

Reports today claim that the club are weighing up a move for the 24-year old, who came through the ranks at Espanyol during Mauricio Pochettino’s time at the club.

Tello joined Barcelona B in 2010 and made his debut for Barca’s main side in 2011. His career with Barca started brightly, making 86 appearances and scoring 20 goals between 2011 and 2014, winning a lone cap for Spain in 2013.

The last two season have seen Tello’s career stagnate while on loan at first Porto and then Fiorentina. Barca are now said to be ready to let the forward go and his versatility could be useful to Pochettino, with Tello able to play on either flank or as a striker. Watch him in action below.
