Spurs have named their 24-man squad for the trip to Australia to play Juventus and Atletico Madrid and there is much interest in some of the named omitted from the list.

All the players who were involved at Euro 2016 stay behind in England – Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Harry Kane, Eric Dier, Ben Davies, Kyle Walker, Danny Rose, Dele Alli and Moussa Dembele – but there are three other notable players missing from the final squad.

Nabil Bentaleb, Clinton Njie and Alex Pritchard have all been left out. Njie is of course likely to leave to club in the next few days to join Marseille, but Bentaleb and Pritchard have both been involved in the behind-closed-doors friendlies at Hotspur Way and were expected to travel to Australia.

Could Bentaleb and Pritchard also leave the club in the next couple of weeks? Ben Pearce, the Spurs reporter for Ham & High newspaper has claimed that the latter is attracting a lot of interest.

With two of the older academy products left out of the squad, it certainly gives an opportunity for some of the younger talents to shine. Here’s the squad of players who will be taking on two of Europe’s best teams.

Luke Amos, Dominic Ball, Tom Carroll, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Nacer Chadli, Marcus Edwards, Christian Eriksen, Tom Glover, Shayon Harrison, Vincent Janssen, Erik Lamela, Ryan Mason, Luke McGee, Will Miller, Josh Onomah, Heung-Min Son, Kieran Trippier, Michel Vorm, Kyle Walker-Peters, Anton Walkes, Victor Wanyama, Kevin Wimmer, Harry Winks, DeAndre Yedlin
