If you thought the Georges-Kevin Nkoudou/Clinton Njie deal was taking a long time to come to fruition, spare a thought for fans of Juventus and Manchester United, who are having to live with the Paul Pogba saga this summer.
With Pogba’s move to Manchester seemingly imminent, Juventus are looking for a replacement and reports claim that our own Nabil Bentaleb is being lined up as that man.
If you’re thinking that Juventus could perhaps do better than Tottenham’s unwanted midfielder, then bear in mind that they’ve already spent the bulk of the Pogba fee on Gonzalo Higuain.
Spurs are said to want £10m for Bentaleb, which could prove to be something of a bargain if the Algerian international can get his career back on track. It will be interesting to see if Daniel Levy would truly be willing to let him go so cheap, especially if it’s to a club with as much money in the bank as Juventus.
