It’s been a busy couple of days for speculation about players leaving White Hart Lane, with the likes of Nabil Bentaleb, Heung-Min Son and DeAndre Yeslin liked with moves away from Spurs.
Now we can add Ryan Mason to that list, as those famous ‘Sky sources’ have claimed that Hull have opened talks with Tottenham about a move for the England international.
Though Mason has been on the bench for the two opening games of the season, he’s yet to see any action. Mauricio Pochettino preferred to bring on Tom Carroll and Josh Onomah off the bench ahead of Mason in the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace over the weekend.
Hull are desperate for players after a summer of inactivity in the transfer market and some costly injuries. Having surprised many, by winning their first two games of the season, perhaps they will now open the purse strings to try to ensure safety.
Mason has also been linked with the likes of Bournemouth this summer and it will be interesting to see whether any other Premier League clubs make a move for a player that Spurs are likely to want a seven figure fee for.
