Mauricio Pochettino has a big decision ahead, as Spurs go up against last season’s champions Leicester.

Much of the team picks itself, with Hugo Lloris in goal, with a back four of Kyle Walker, Danny Rose, Eric Dier and Jan Vertonghen in front of him.

Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele will provide the muscle in midfield, while Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen are also automatic picks.

The dilemma for Pochettino is whether to play Heung-Min Son or Vincent Janssen as a striker. Son was ineffective in the role at Bournemouth last week and is more of a goal threat from the flanks, so we’d go with Janssen, meaning that Erik Lamela – despite his fine cameo against Liverpool – drops to the bench.

Here’s out Spurs team to face Leicester. What’s yours?

    • No! Youre wrong because you dont understand how the players’ form is affected at present. The player who should he dropped is Eriksen, plenty of chances and still poor. Lamela can make a difference in matches, Eriksen cant but not if Lamela is benched. Wake up and smell the coffee…

  1. I’m surprised people don’t like Lamela. He’s had the most assists this season. I think Son will be up top with Lamela taking the midfield position instead.

  2. Sissoko suspended unfortunately? He’s an average centre midfielder playing on the right wing (badly) is start Jansen definitely he brings alli, son etc goals.

  3. The best news is that Sissoko is suspended. He must be the worst transfer mistake in Spurs history.

You have to question the Spurs recruitment team for making a last minute panic buy of an average footballer for 30 million pounds.

I thought that Spurs would have learned their lesson from all the flops they bought with the Bale money.
