Spurs scored a quick-fire double to secure the victory in tonight’s match against Southampton.

Having spurned a number of chances to make it 3-1 – most notably from Harry Kane’s penalty miss – substitute Heung-Min Son finally scored the vital goal.

Breaking fast as Southampton chased the equaliser, Christian Eriksen played the ball into Son’s path and the South Korean cooly slotted home.

Moments later Dele Alli made it 4-1 with his second of the match. Passing the ball into the back of the net from a similar position to Son.

  1. Our two holding MFs were ‘mustard’ last night…Wanyama probably edged it on work rate but Mousa was our top tackler with 5.
Much better from Alli…see what can be achieved when you stop the grandstanding.
Not sure about Harry K…went missing for long periods…don’t think he really enjoys playing N° 9 by himself and he’s still hiding behind defenders…the one time he attacks the near post he scores.
Eriksen still flattering to deceive…thank god Sissoko is starting to settle.
I would have expected better from Verts. Now we have a defensive issue against Watford, especially if Toby is not available but I guess Wimmer will step up to the plate…that’s what he’s there for innit.
The conversion rate was excellent last night (4 out of 5) and the goals all came from inside the box.

p.s.Why did S’ton suddenly stop playing once we had scored?
