Despite putting a close-to-full strength side out for Tottenham’s first leg encounter with Gent in the Europa League, Mauricio Pochettino’s side struggled to create enough meaningful chances to get anything from the game.

Spurs have scored just once in their last four matches in all competitions — Harry Kane’s winner from the penalty spot against Middlesbrough earlier this month.

When asked if his players are lacking confidence in front of goal at the moment, Pochettino said: “It’s not about confidence. Maybe we are wrong with our judgement today.”

The Argentine added that Gent were “super motivated” to play against his Tottenham side, making it a more difficult task for the visitors.
