Lazio are considering making a £12 million bid for Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen, according to reports in Italy.

The Dutchman joined Spurs from AZ Alkmaar for around £18 million last summer, but has failed to make the expected impact in the Premier League, scoring just two league goals.

Janssen has shown a big improvement in recent weeks, but he failed to get off the bench in Saturday’s defeat to Chelsea at Wembley.

Obviously not trusted to make a contribution in big matches, a parting of ways might be best for Tottenham and Janssen if his game-time does not increase.

Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, in a report relayed by talkSPORT, suggests Serie A club Lazio are keen on taking Janssen to Rome.

If the striker is sold for £12 million, Spurs will suffer a loss of around £6 million. There is still a chance, however, that Mauricio Pochettino will give Janssen another chance to prove himself next season.
