Tottenham have made an opening offer of €22 million (around £19.5m) for AC Milan playmaker Suso, according to reports in Italy, but the bid has been rejected.

Mauricio Pochettino wants to add more creativity to his attack, and he is believed to be a big fan of Suso.

The 23-year-old joined AC Milan from Liverpool in January 2015 having failed to make an impact in England, but he has improved significantly since arriving in Serie A.

According to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, Milan have rejected Tottenham’s opening bid, but would be willing to sell Suso for any offer exceeding €25 million (just over £22m).

Milan have signed a number of new recruits already this summer, so it is not beyond the realms of possibility that certain players will leave the Serie A giants in the coming weeks.

Last month Suso claimed he is happy at the San Siro, but if Milan accept a bid his situation could change.
