After a stagnant first half at Wembley, Tottenham opened the scoring against Burnley shortly after the break through Dele Alli.
The 21-year-old was denied a penalty just moments into the second half.
But his fortunes quickly changed when the ball fell to him in the box following Eric Dier’s flick-on from Christian Eriksen’s corner.
Alli made no mistake, shooting low into the corner from close range.
His celebration was muted – perhaps he was still frustrated about the non-penalty decision a couple of minutes earlier.
