Tottenham have agreed a fee with Swansea City for striker Fernando Llorente, according to multiple outlets including the BBC.

Chelsea had been expected to sign him but Spurs are now favourites to seal a deal for the Spaniard after swooping in with a late offer, which has been accepted by Swansea.

However, Chelsea are expected to make a counter-offer at some point today.

The 32-year-old striker joined Swansea from Juventus last summer, scoring 15 goals in his first season for the Welsh club.

At the time of writing, it is unclear whether Llorente’s potential arrival means Vincent Janssen will leave Tottenham. The BBC claims he could go out on loan. The Dutchman has been linked with West Brom and Stoke.
