If you’re on social media, you’ll know Eric Dier and Dele Alli are inseparable.

The Tottenham teammates are best friends on and off the pitch, and they rarely miss the opportunity to take their friendly rivalry to the next level – Alli once nutmegged Dier in England training without the latter even noticing.

It was Dier’s turn to do the mocking this time. Alli volleyed home Spurs’ third goal against Liverpool at Wembley on Sunday, but Dier wasn’t having any of it.

On Alli’s Instagram post celebrating the goal, Dier wrote the comment, “#shin”, implying the goalscorer has mishit his shot and shinned the ball in.
