Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino will work closely with Lucas Moura and Juan Foyth during the international break, according to Football.London.

A number of Spurs players are set to feature for their countries in vital World Cup warm-up games over the next few days.

But some notable figures have remained at the Tottenham training centre, including Moura, Foyth, Erik Lamela and Moussa Sissoko.

Football.London claims Pochettino will spend a lot of time with Moura, suggesting the Brazilian needs more time to learn Spurs’ methods before being unleashed regularly.

That said, if the next few days go well, we could see Moura start from the beginning in the first game back after the international break – a trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea.

Moura started along side Lamela, Christian Eriksen and Heung-Min Son in a front four in last weekend’s 3-0 win at Swansea.

Dele Alli was rested and is likely to return for the Chelsea match, but who’s to say Moura won’t be preferred if he impresses in training?

Pochettino will also apparently be working closely with Foyth, who Tottenham may come to rely on in the near future given the uncertainty surrounding Toby Alderweireld’s future.
