Tottenham and Arsenal could move for Burnley defender Ben Mee this summer, according to the Sun.

The centre-back has made over 200 appearances for Burnley since joining the Clarets permanently from Manchester City in 2012.

His defensive partner James Tarkowski has received plenty of plaudits this season and was also called up to the latest England squad.

But Mee has been just as consistent for Burnley this season, and there is reason to believe he may seek an exit from Turf Moor in the summer.

The 28-year-old’s contract expires at the end of next season and the Sun believes he is stalling on signing a new deal.

Sean Dyche is apparently concerned about losing Mee for nothing in the summer of 2019, meaning Burnley may have to listen to offers at the end of this season.

The reports names Spurs and Arsenal among Mee’s potential suitors – both clubs are thought to be in need of a new centre-back.

Jonny Evans has also been linked with a move to Tottenham as speculation about Toby Alderweireld’s future continues to do the rounds.

Spurs fans will probably be expecting a better-known replacement if Alderweireld is to leave this summer.
