Tottenham remain interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes this summer, according to the Mirror.
Gomes joined Barcelona from a Valencia in the summer of 2016 for a reported fee in the region of £30 million.
But the Portugal international has struggled to cement a place in the staring line-up at Camp Nou, failing to put together a run of consistent form over the last two seasons.
As a result, he is expected to leave Barcelona at the end of the current campaign.
Spurs were heavily linked with a move for Gomes last summer, making a late offer for the 24-year-old on deadline day.
A deal failed to materialise, but the Mirror claims Mauricio Pochettino is still interested in bringing Gomes to north London.
The player is believed to be open to a switch to the Premier League, and Tottenham’s London rivals West Ham United are also said to be interested in him.
Spurs are apparently on the lookout for a long-term Mousa Dembele replacement – Gomes could fill that role.
Pochettino is likely attracted to Gomes’ versatility. He can play in a number of positions across the midfield and in more advances areas.
Whether he has the sufficient quality for Tottenham, however, remains to be seen.
