Marcus Edwards will seek an exit from Tottenham this summer after failing to receive first-team assurances from Mauricio Pochettino, according to the Guardian.

The 19-year-old, once dubbed ‘Mini Messi’ by Pochettino, spent the second half of last season at Norwich City but failed to make a single senior appearance for the Championship side.

At the time, there was talk of Edwards turning up for training and team meetings late, and Norwich manager Daniel Farke repeatedly called for the winger to show more maturity.

Reports earlier this week revealed Spurs will make a decision on Edwards’ future this summer.

And now, the Guardian claims the teenager will seek an exit from the north London club before the start of next season.

It is believed Edwards has accepted his chances of breaking into the first-team are slim and sees his best chance of game time elsewhere.

It seems the youngster’s obvious talent isn’t matched by his attitude, which is a shame – hopefully he can turn things around and go on to have a worthwhile career.
