Danny Rose is set to turn down a loan move to France and stay with Tottenham this month after impressing Mauricio Pochettino in training, according to the Telegraph.

The left-back was a surprise starter in Monday night’s 3-0 win at Manchester United after being heavily linked with a move to either Paris Saint-Germain or Marseille.

Rose has been tipped to leave Spurs ever since he gave a controversial interview last August in which he criticised the club’s wage structure and ambition in the transfer market.

Having lost his place in the side to Ben Davies last season, Rose wasn’t expected to stick around this summer.

But factors such as Tottenham’s lack of signings and, according to the Telegraph, an improvement in training have seen Pochettino change his mind on Rose.

However, the Telegraph’s report claims Moussa Sissoko and Georges-Kevin N’Koudou could both leave either on loan or permanently before the European transfer deadline closes on Friday.

Josh Onomah is also apparently in line for an exit with Aston Villa keen to take him on loan for another season.

Perhaps the two young midfielders who Spurs have tied down to new contracts are set for more game time if the Londoners are willing to let Sissoko and Onomah leave.
