Mauricio Pochettino has labelled Ryan Mason “one of the most important players in my career”.
Mason appeared as a pundit on BT Sport’s ‘Premier League Tonight’ show following Tottenham’s convincing 3-1 victory over Chelsea on Saturday night.
The former midfielder, who retired at the age of 25 because of a serious head injury, played a major role in Pochettino’s first season at Spurs before leaving for Hull City.
During a discussion about Mason’s career and retirement during ‘Premier League Tonight’, BT Sport cut to Pochettino’s post-match interview, in which the Tottenham boss heaped praise on Mason. Watch below.
