Tottenham are interested in signing Fenerbahce youngster Eljif Elmas, according to reports in Turkey.

Elmas, 19, is one of the most talented young players in the Turkish Super Lig and and has been tipped to move to one of Europe’s top five leagues in the future.

According to Turkish outlet Skopje24, Real Madrid have scouted the central midfielder extensively ahead of a possible offer.

But a number of other clubs are also said to be keen on the teenager, including Spurs.

The likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, and AS Roma are also mentioned among the suitors.

It is believed Elmas has a release clause of just £20.5 million, a relatively low fee in today’s market.

Elmas has scored one goal in 14 Super Lig appearances so far this season. He has also played five times in the Europa League.

Tottenham are in need of a long-term replacement for Mousa Dembele, and it sounds like Elmas fits the bill.

But with so many huge clubs reportedly interested in him, Spurs may find it difficult to convince Elmas to move to north London.
