Chelsea are interested in signing Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen, according to reports in Spain.

Eriksen is out of contract at the end of next season and has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent weeks.

There have been a number of contrasting reports about Eriksen’s situation. Some say Spurs are confident he will sign a new deal, while others suggest an agreement is unlikely.

Earlier this week, Spanish outlet AS claimed Tottenham will find it very difficult to convince Eriksen to stay this summer.

And now, AS believes Chelsea and Barcelona are ready to enter the race to sign Eriksen.

From our point of view, there is absolutely no way Spurs would do business over the Dane with Chelsea.

It’s likely the rest of the teams towards the top of the Premier League would like to have Eriksen in their ranks, too.

But Tottenham will be keen to avoid strengthening their rivals if they don’t have to.

The only way we can see Eriksen moving to another Premier League club is if he allows his contract to fully run down – even then, he would probably prefer Madrid or Barcelona.

  1. Willian joined Chelsea the same summer as Eriksen joined Spurs. Willian has won all domestic trophy available since then. Premier League twice. Eriksen has won nothing. He may want to win something in his career. He is better than Spurs.

  2. We are in transition Jamie.
We’ve played a certain type of football for a while now (Mourinho,Conte etc..) but now Sarri is being backed for his philosophy.
Eriksen or Coutinho fits his style.

  3. Spurs have a fantastic playing style and some top top players but I think you might have to rethink soon.
    Poch will go to Utd….

  4. Hazard gone in summer pulisic is his replacement not bad business for Chelsea pulisic 60 mil sell hazard 200 mil if eriksen does want to leave go for Isco I know he will not end up at Chelsea or Man City because city won’t give the money we would want and would not strengthen Chelsea when Real Madrid and Barca give top money

  5. they are right up there and will bring home that Europa trophy while Tottenham will bring nothing home…that’s the difference mate..,
