Fulham starlet and reported Tottenham Hotspur target Ryan Sessegnon is attracting interest from Borussia Dortmund, according to the Sun.
Sessegnon was apparently on Spurs’ shortlist of targets last summer but the Londoners were priced out of a deal and ended up signing no new players.
But following Fulham’s relegation to the Championship, it is believed the 18-year-old will leave Craven Cottage at the end of the season – and Tottenham are being mooted as a likely destination again.
However, the Sun claims Dortmund could hijack Tottenham’s move for Sessegnon, who will be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with the German club in January.
That would mean the teenager stays at Fulham for the 2019/20 season before joining up with Dortmund the following summer.
With that in mind, a move to the Bundesliga could depend on whether Sessegnon is willing to play another season of Championship football.
There is a good chance he will be eager to make an immediate return to the Premier League this summer, so Spurs should act fast or risk losing out on one of their key targets.
