Spurs are close to ending a summer of speculation by agreeing a deal to sign Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham, according to the Evening Standard.

Mauricio Pochettino has been interested in the teenage star for a while, but with Sessegnon away on international duty with England Under-21 at the European Championships, a deal has proved difficult for the young winger.

The 19-year-old is currently out with a hamstring injury which forced him to miss Fulham’s opening-day defeat at Barnsley on Saturday.

And now The Independent are claiming that the two clubs have finally come to a £25m agreement, which would see Ryan Sessegnon become Pochettino’s third summer of the window, joining Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke in moving to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Elsewhere, wantaway Spurs wingers Josh Onomah and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou could still move the other way, but those are thought to be separate deals.

  1. Don’t blame you. Sess not the player he was, thinks he is better than he is and needs to come down from cloud 9.

  2. Have been hearing this for months; so boring. If trsnsfer fails and he remains at Fulham, prepare for another round in January.

  3. It’s about time we landed this one. He’s been on the hook all summer. We need to hold on to Rose too, as he’ll be an excellent mentor for the youngster. Giving Danny Rose the responsibility of guiding the development of Ryan Sessegnon might be the new impetuous he needs to refocus his legendary career with the club.
