Danny Rose is expected to remain at Tottenham despite a summer of uncertainty over his future, according The Sun.

The 29-year-old was left out of the club’s pre-season tour of Asia last month and Tottenham announced on their official website that Rose, along with Vincent Janssen and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, were given extra time off in order to seal moves away.

But Rose, who was then included in Spurs’ Audi Cup squad last week, starting both games against Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, has been given a lifeline. And with Ben Davies out injured, Rose now looks set to start their season-opener against Aston Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.

There were a number of European clubs, including French champions PSG, interested in signing the English defender, but none of which made any concrete offers and Rose will now move into his 12th season with Spurs, making him their current longest serving player.

    • When fit this guy is always been in our top three players speed skill and he makes things happen a big plus if he stay and we get Ryan to that’s the best left side in the premiership….

    • Now just announce that eriksen has been bought by some club in outer Mongolia for £80 million so we can get our other affairs sorted. Really starting to hate the spoilt child that he is.

  1. I understand y ppl like rose. He gives it everything every single game but hes often caught out of position on defense and he didn’t exactly do wonders swinging the ball in the box. He is a good defender who is starting to age and has major injury spells throughout his career. I’m glad hes starting but certainly not as exciting as a potential Dybala move that’s only hang up are imaging rights. Add to that potential of Fernandes or Lo Celso and we have announced that we r a contender and will be a team that will be competing for the best players in the world. We r no longer looking to the everdise or the championship for bargain players. This has to exceed the news that Danny Rose is staying for another year.

    • I can’t agree with you about Dybala, Man Utd binned him and so should Tottenham in my opinion. Image rights
are you sure? I haven’t seen that much of him and I don’t suppose many Spurs supporters have if they’re honest.Sounds a bit of a primadonna asking for £350,000 a week If that’s to be believed? But it was written in the Sun so I suppose it must be true?

  2. Just as expected. One of the few people stuck his neck out and said he would stay. Imo, the guy is a club legend after nearly 13 years at the club. Gives his all and has more passion than most. Speaks his mind and is a breath of fresh air. Longest serving in the pl bar Mark Noble from the Spammers. He should be applauded and lauded for his long service to us and not unceremoniously through the back door.
