Ryan Sessegnon is expected to begin training with Tottenham next week as the winger recovers from a hamstring problem.

The 19-year-old, who joined Spurs from Fulham on deadline day for £25m, suffered the injury whilst on England Under-21 duty at the European Championships earlier this summer and hasn’t played competitively since the Three Lions’ group stage match against Romania at the end of June.

But the Daily Mail are reporting that Sessegnon, who was in the stands at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium sitting next to Jan Vertonghen and Dele Alli as he watched his new side open up their Premier League campaign with a 3-1 victory over Aston Villa on Saturday, could join his teammates for his first session at Hotspur Way next week.

And furthermore, the Daily Mail reckon that Sessegnon is aiming to make his Spurs debut in the middle of next month, meaning his first Tottenham appearance could come in their first Champions League group stage game, which is scheduled for 17/18 of September.
