Leeds United have made an unbeaten start to their Championship campaign but on-loan Jack Clarke is yet to feature for the Whites this term.

Clarke, who joined Tottenham from the West Yorkshire outfit last month, before being sent back to Elland Road on a season-long loan deal, is yet to feature for Marcelo Bielsa’s side in the league this term, with his only taste of first-team action coming in Tuesday’s Carabao Cup victory at League Two side Salford City.

The 18-year-old was an unused substitute for Leeds’ opening two matches against Bristol City and Nottingham Forest, but didn’t even make the 18-man squad for his hometown club on Saturday as they moved to the top of the Championship table with a 2-0 success at Wigan.

Clarke made 25 appearances for Leeds last season, scoring twice whilst adding two assists, but with Leeds in excellent form, his opportunities have been non existent and unless Bielsa’s form starting losing games, the Carabao Cup looks like his best option to impress, with their Second Round match against Stoke City taking place a week on Tuesday.

  1. What a waste sending him back to Leeds United, he won’t get enough team practice playing in the carbon cup, he might just just as well have been playing as substitute with Tottenham.

They might as well send jack back to us, we can give him a run ourselves.

  2. He’ll get plenty of game time this season at Leeds. Bielsa has a lot of faith in him but he introduces them slowly. Our two star signings Costa and Nketiah have only made sub appearances so far.

    • Maybe the writer can give some insight apart from speculation they are winning and he practically is not good enough to be a part of the rotation. This is the frustration with loans, other clubs dont want to development you to leave, but at the same time since he is so young, under 23 would have given him enough game time although the competition will be less.
He has long way to go with Moura and Son and even Parrot ahead of him. I hope Leeds keep winning so even though he is not being feature a winning environ will be good and he does not of to feel pressure should the team fortunes turn to be the savor because of his profile.

  3. Any young player as got to earn a a place for their first team, Jack his a player still developing his talent at Leeds and gets plenty of match fitness and coaching from playing in the under 23s and occasionally the first team. Just because Spurs saw his potential still dosent give him a place in a compatative Leeds squad, Jack his an improved and important player that will feature in Leee promotion push.
