Tottenham attacker Anthony Georgiou has said he is happy to wait until January to decide his future after making a promising start to his loan spell at Ipswich Town.

The winger joined Ipswich on loan towards the end of the transfer window and has made three appearances so far. The Tractor Boys are unbeaten after seven games and are currently second in League One.

Having impressed during various pre-season campaigns for Spurs under Mauricio Pochettino, Georgiou hasn’t quite been able to break into the manager’s first team plans.

And while he will be hoping to make a big enough impression to get into the Tottenham team, the 22-year-old has hinted he is open to thinking about a permanent move in January.

“I’m on loan until January and it’s all going well so we’ll see what happens from there,” Georgiou said (via TWTD).

Considering the fact Lucas Moura struggles to get into Tottenham’s first XI when everybody is fit, Georgiou’s hopes of doing so seem slim at the moment.

Even if he has a good season in League One, it might not be enough for him to earn a place in the Spurs squad next term. With that in mind, a permanent transfer in January might be the best course of action for all parties.
