Tottenham Argentine duo Giovani Lo Celso and Erik Lamela both missed training on Wednesday and are doubtful ahead of Spurs’ Premier League visit to Aston Villa on Sunday, according to the Evening Standard.
The midfield pair were both absent from last Wednesday’s 3-2 victory over Southampton in the FA Cup with thigh and groin injuries respectively and the report says that they were not part of the main group at Hotspur Way, but are only nursing minor injuries.
Jose Mourinho will speak to the press tomorrow lunchtime ahead of the trip to Dean Smith’s side, where a full injury update will be provided by the club.
In better news, left-back Ben Davies is expected to return to the squad for the game at Villa Park and could make his first appearance since Jose Mourinho’s first match in charge after recovering from three months out with an ankle injury he suffered at West Ham.
