Willian’s agent Kia Joorabchian says he has not spoken to the Chelsea star about a summer move despite reports the winger could join Tottenham.

Spanish outlet Sport claims Barcelona have turned down the opportunity to sign Willian when his Chelsea contract expires this summer, and a move to Spurs or Paris Saint-Germain is now said to be likely for the Brazilian.

However, Joorabchian has insisted a transfer is not a priority amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis, which has caused confusion around contracts that expire at the end of June – the 2019/20 season could stretch beyond that date if and when it recommences.

“There is a lot of speculation but I can genuinely explain to you we have not spoken about transfers or anything like that,” Joorabchian told Sky Sports.

“No one has the right feeling. Neither us nor the other side have the feeling to discuss something when so much is happening around the world that is so much more important.”

Willian worked with Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge and the Tottenham boss will hope that connection sway his former player’s decision. But if Spurs don’t quality for the Champions League, surely PSG will be a more likely destination for Willian.

There is also a good chance the French giants would be able to offer the 31-year-old a better pay packet. It may all depend on whether Willian wants to stay in London.
