Tottenham are one of a host of sides to have enquired about Real Madrid defender Achraf Hakimi, according to 90min.
The 21-year-old, who is currently on a two-year loan deal at Borussia Dortmund, has established himself as one of the most exciting right-backs in world football since moving to the Bundesliga – scoring 12 goals, whilst adding 17 assists for Dortmund in just 70 appearances across the previous two seasons.
Despite his successful loan spell in Dortmund, Hakimi’s agent Alejandro Camano revealed last month that the Moroccan will be returning to the Spanish capital at the end of the season – although it remains unclear whether he’ll remain in Madrid and fight for his place, or look for more regular football elsewhere.
The report in 90min suggest that the German’s are keen on signing him permanently, as are Tottenham – with still so much uncertainty over their right-back position.
Serge Aurier, who was reported to have said he was ready to quit Spurs earlier in the season, could leave this summer, whilst Kyle Walker-Peters, doesn’t appear to be part of Jose Mourinho’s plans moving forward.
With the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City also interested – two of the Premier League’s richest clubs – Tottenham are going to face stiff competition if they want to make a huge statement in the transfer market.
