Harry Kane and Jose Mourinho have been nominated for the EA Sports Premier League Player and Manager of the Month awards for July.
Kane, who has won the accolade on six previous occassions, notched six goals in seven games after playing every minute of Spurs’ final nine league matches after the restart.
Tottenham’s month might have started in disasterous fashion with a 3-1 defeat at Sheffield United, but Kane still managed to get himself on the scoresheet with an added-time consolation.
The England captain wouldn’t find the net for another three games, but ended the campaign in scintillating form after scoring braces in the victories over Newcastle and Leicester before his opening goal against Crystal Palace on Sunday – his fifth in three matches – secured Europa League football for Spurs next season.
Kane is up against Burnley goalkeeper and England colleague Nick Pope, Anthony Martial, Raheem Sterling, Michail Antonio and Chelsea pair Christian Pulisic and Olivier Giroud.
