Tottenham’s international players returned to Hotspur Way on Thursday as Jose Mourinho’s side prepare for Sunday’s London derby with West Ham.
Harry Kane, fresh from playing 90 minutes in England’s Nations League defeat to Denmark on Wednesday evening, was back in training – meaning Spurs fans got their first glimpse of the Three Lions skipper and the returning Gareth Bale together.
Prior to the international break, the Welshman was still recovering from a knee injury, and only joined full training in recent weeks, when Spurs’ national players were all away.
Whilst Bale isn’t expected to start against the Hammers on Sunday, there’s every chance that the 31-year-old will be involved and make his second Tottenham debut.
It Bale does feature, it’ll be the first time that him and Kane would share a pitch together since the latter’s Premier League debut against Newcastle back in August 2012 and those memorable final five minutes at St James’ Park.
