Tottenham have turned down multiple enquiries for Jack Clarke in the current transfer window, according to Football London.

Clarke is yet to make his competitive debut for Spurs since joining from Leeds United last year. The winger returned to Leeds on loan last term as well as spending time at QPR.

But it doesn’t look like he will head out on loan again this season unless something drastic happens before today’s 5pm deadline.

Football London claims Clarke has impressed Jose Mourinho in training of late and Tottenham have ‘rebuffed a number of enquiries from Championship clubs’ in the current window.

Those offers were presumably to take the 19-year-old on loan, with Clarke’s potential making it unlikely Spurs would consider selling at this stage.

The report does mention that the teenager could yet leave if ‘the ideal loan rears its head’ – but the clock is ticking.

It make sense to keep Clarke around after his loan spells didn’t work out last season. Perhaps training alongside better players will force the youngster to up his level.

And what’s more, Mourinho may give him opportunities in the Europa League group stages, which could boost his confidence even more.
