Tottenham travel to Ludogorets in the Europa League on Thursday – and could have defender Japhet Tanganga back in their ranks.

The 21-year-old defender has been plagued with injuries in recent months and has featured just once for Spurs since the Premier League restarted following the break for Coronavirus.

Tanganga missed Tottenham’s final nine league matches with a suspected stress fracture to his back – although he was an unused substitute for the victories over Newcastle and Leicester and the final-day draw at Crystal Palace.

Tanganga’s only appearance this season came in the Carabao Cup win over Chelsea back in September.

But the centre-back picked up a thigh problem following that game and hasn’t involved since.

However, Tanganga, who retuned to training this week, could be given an opportunity to get minutes under his belt in Bulgaria on Thursday, with one of Eric Dier and Toby Alderweireld expected to be rested.
