Davinson Sanchez would be open to a move away from Tottenham in the January transfer window, according to The Athletic.

The Colombian defender joined Spurs from Ajax in 2017 and was a regular during his first three seasons in the England – making more than 100 appearances in all competitions.

However, an error-prone performance in the 3-3 draw with West Ham led to Sanchez going more than two months without featuring in the league, before starting at Wolves on Sunday.

It means that more than half of Sanchez’s appearances this season have come in the Europa League – with even summer signing Joe Rodon getting the rod ahead of him for the draw at Chelsea last month.

And having fallen down the pecking order under Jose Mourinho, The Athletic believe that the 24-year-old centre-back would consider a move away from Tottenham in January.

Everton have previously been touted – with Colombian teammate previously discussing bringing Sanchez to Goodison Park, whilst the defender has also been on AC Milan‘s radar.

Sanchez still has three years remaining on his current deal, so would take a significant offer to prize him away from Tottenham, but it’s something to keep a close eye on next month.

    • Clubs generally do not do swap. Yet to see the EPL do that consistenly. It is better that way because in makes a farse in American sports where the talent or the money never balance and the richer and bigger clubs take advantage on it.
