Social networking sites are a big part of people’s lives these days, but not for the footballers of Tottenham Hotspur.

After Darren Bent went mental on his Twitter account last summer, by virtually telling Daniel Levy in no uncertain terms that he wanted to join Sunderland rather than Hull or Stoke, the club reacted by banning all Spurs players from having social networking accounts.

But as we’re all reminded whenever someone mentions banning boxing, when you outlaw a recreation, you only succeed in forcing it underground. Harry Redknapp learned this the hard way when the Spurs squad disobeyed him by throwing a Christmas party and TottenhamBlog can exclusively reveal that they have defied the club rules yet again and are actively engaging in social networking activities.

The players have created their own online social community called ‘Spursbook’ and our online spies have successfully managed to capture some screenshots of our players’ cosy online chats.

TottenhamBlog are proud to give the fans access to the illicit and secretive world of Spursbook, where you will find out what the squad really think about football betting, social networking, and other issues regarding the club. Today we start with some nattering between Tom Huddlestone and friends…

Keep your eyes peeled for more updates from Spursbook.
