On This Day In Spurs History: 1st July

1995 – On this day in 1995, Spurs beat Rudar Velenje of Slovenia 2-1 in the Intertoto Cup. We were reluctant to enter the competition and only agreed on the basis that we did not have to play our home games at White Hart Lane and that we could field a weakened team including loan players.
