A Spurs XI drew 3-3 with a strong Brighton side at the Lodge on Tuesday in a game that saw loanees Harry Kane and Mirko Ranieri return to Tottenham action.

It was Kane who opened the scoring after seven minutes after good work by Andros Townsend and Spurs continued to dominate during the first period as goals from Townsend and Ryan Fredericks saw us lead 3-1 at the interval.

Spurs had chances to kill off the game but let in Brighton twice to allow the Seagulls a 3-3 draw. With Defoe’s ankle scare in the week and our lack of cover up front, does this mean that Harry Kane could be seen on the bench before too long? He has been in fine form at Orient and could merit a slot with the substitutes at least.

  1. If the lad scores tonight against Arsenal then Harry could very well bring him back and we could have a new Clive Allen. That depends if he is not suspended.
