With no league action for another week and a half, the war of words ahead of our Champions League quarter final against Real Madrid is up and running, with Sandro and Jose Mourinho starting the ball rolling.

Spurs midfielder Sandro, who turned in a great performace to help the side past AC Milan insists that his team have nothing to fear in the competition.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Brazilian said: “It’s a dream of mine, and any professional, to play against one of the biggest teams in the world – but we’re going to go there without fear.

“We know they’ve got some of the best players in the world like Cristiano Ronaldo and Angel Di Maria – but at the same time we’ve got fantastic players and we wouldn’t have progressed so far in competition if we didn’t.

“People now know that Tottenham are one of the strongest teams in Europe, and we deserve to be up there playing against the best.”

Meanwhile, the first of a thousand quotes has spouted from Jose Mourinho who said, amongst other things: “Any team is difficult and any team is a motivation for us. Tottenham are a good team. They beat Inter, they beat Milan, they have ambitions, they have a very good team and a good manager.

“You can feel that it is a happy team, and happy teams are dangerous teams.”

So Harry’s Happy Hotspurs are on their way. Expect a lot more talk before the real action starts.
