Blackburn boss Steve Kean may have tried to issue a ‘hands off’ warning with regard to Christopher Samba this week but the player himself has given a clear indication that he is fed up with life at the wrong end of the table.

Having already lost Phil Jones in this transfer window, Kean will be desperate not to lose his experienced defender but the quotes suggest that a further departure could be on the cards,

“For four-and-a-half years I have been at Blackburn and fought against relegation,” Samba said.

“If a good opportunity presents itself, I want to take it. I hope the club will understand if I want to make the step up and not prevent a deal.”

Meanwhile, the club’s owners have stated that there has been firm interest from other sides so is this the perfect chance for Spurs to step in and reinforce their defence for next season?

  1. Definetely! Samba brings more strength and power to our back 4 and would work really well with Dawson and Gallas. It also means another big threat added to set pieces with Gallas, Dawson, Crouch and hopefully big Cris Samba.

  2. y not..he scares the shi* out of me, when we play against him. He always runs rings (bar the defoe rape game)around our strikers, has great presence. Would be interesting to see if he could step up
