With a few hours to go before the transfer window closes, the only confirmed deasl involving Spurs to date is the signing of Scott Parker from West Ham and David Bentley’s loan to the Hammers.
Beyond this, there is a lot of momentum concerning a bid for Gary Cahill which may involve Sebastien Bassong going the other way.
With regards to other departures, it seems that Wilson Palacios to Stoke is on subject to a medical – so fingers crossed there then, but if they took Jonathan Woodgate, the Potters can’t be that fussy about Wilson’s injury issues. A BBC reporter has also Tweeted that Stoke could seal a deal to buy Peter Crouch.
The rumours concerning Jermaine Jenas to Aston Villa are also gathering pace and this is another move that a lot of Spurs fans will be hoping for. Remember though that we still have Hutton and Dos Santos to name but three who are firmly among the deadwood. Can we shift them all before 11pm?
Earlier in the day however, was Tom Huddlestone causing mischief when he tweeted,

One website immediately decided that it must be Mario Balotelli!! Unfortunately for them, no-one else picked up on the story leaving it isolated on the news feeds. Perhaps it’s Berbatov or perhaps Tom was just having a laugh with us.
