Scott Parker has been an instant hit amongst Spurs fans but it seems that the Tottenham board took a lot of convincing before sanctioning his move from West Ham at the end of August.
Parker has slotted in comfortably in his customary midfield berth and has more than played his part in Tottenham’s recent run of form; a fact that seems to vindicate Harry’s faith in him.
“The hardest signing for me was Scott Parker,” Redknapp said in the Daily Telegraph.
“It wasn’t a deal that the club were crazy about, and I could see their point of view.
“Scott had a four-year contract at West Ham and he was on big money, by our standards.
“There was a feeling that bringing in Scott, 31 years of age and with no sell-on value, could be a problem. I argued that it was what he could give us this year and next that could make the difference. Daniel backed me on that.”
So Redknapp and Levy working together seems to have paid off but as Sandro returns to full fitness, Harry has a major selection headache ahead of him. For once, it’s a nice problem to have.
Hear Harry tryna make himself sound like a transfer genius haha.Levy dont trust him with his money I wouldnt either.
