Transfer targets continue to be linked with a summer move to Spurs and in the main these are old names that we’re already very familiar with. One story suggests that the club will be back in for Marseille’s Loic Remy at the end of the season but could there be another French striker on Tottenham’s radar?

Olivier Giroud is 26 and currently at Montpellier where he is enjoying the best football of his career. A big target man at six foot three, Giroud averages around a goal every other game throughout his career and has just broken into the French national side. His first goal for his country came earlier this month and that seems to have re-awoken interest from around Europe.

Spurs are one club to have been mentioned but so have Liverpool, Arsenal and Bayern Munich. It could therefore come down to a question of fee and wages but Giroud certainly looks a prospect and one who could lead the line at the Lane next season.

    • Spurs are constantly linked with big name players, but never quite seem to get around to signing any. Is it lack of money? Or is it lack of ambition?

      • No idea. Reckon money’s being tied down in the new stadium, and until sponsorship is sorted I can’t see there being much of a change.
