It’s been an impressive season for Kyle Walker and one where the seal of approval that came with PFA recognition may just see him pencilled in as England’s first choice right back at Euro 2012.

The player just hopes that new manager Roy Hodgson will have seen enough of him during the two games against West Brom to give him that chance.

“Obviously, Roy Hodgson watches the Premier League and will be aware of what is going on. Everyone has a chance to be on that plane. We all need to prove to him that we can do the business at the Euros,” Walker said.

Kyle faces tough opposition, particularly from more experienced players such as Glen Johnson but he doesn’t feel that his age should stand in the way.

“Hopefully I can cap off a great season and then it will follow on into the summer.”

Walker also said that he is concentrating on the Fulham game first which is, of course, all we really care about but has Kyle done enough to make himself England’s first choice?

  1. Glen Johnson won’t be anywhere near that team. It’s Walker or Micah Richards for me…

Not ruling out Smalling and Jones either, though it’s difficult to guess what Hodgson will do coz it’s obviously gonna be his first squad!
