The Brazilian international midfielder Oscar claims that Spurs have been in contact with his agent but suggests that he is only looking at the immediate future and expects to stay with his current club.

Oscar is just one of the many names being linked with Tottenham at present but the player himself states that there is some real substance in this rumour.

“Tottenham contacted my agent, but now I’m focusing on Inter. I don’t know what might happen, I’m not thinking of it right now.”

Oscar is still only 20 and has six caps for Brazil at full international level. He is part of the national squad for the 2012 Olympics but doesn’t anticipate a return to the capital anytime soon.

“I am thinking only of Internacional, I don’t think I’m leaving, I’ve received no offers,” he added.

“If it’s up to me, I’ll stay until 2014.”

Things are happening quickly at the Lane but perhaps Oscar won’t be part of the revolution.

  1. Normal “i dont want to leave” nonsense ahead of a move.

Inter desperately need to free up funds to sign new players, they had to pull out of a move last week to sign a player from another Brazilian club due to lack of funds for transfer fee and wages… yet they are about to sign Diego Forlan in the next 48 hours. If this happens i think its safe to say Oscar and/or Damiao is on his way out to help fund it.

Brazilian clubs grow great young players then have to sell them on for a huge profit, Inter are no different and due to our sporting partnership any good young talent is likely to end up at WHL
